Function keys 1 through 5 are arranged into three banks of functions. Change to another set of functions (banks) using F6. Function Key F6 displays the current function of all keys when pressed. By moving the mouse in and out while pressing F6, you toggle all the keys between banks (sets of functions).
Function Keys 7 - 12
Function keys 7 through 12 provide shortcuts for actions that are available through icons and popup menu items.
See graphics driver-specific README files for information on dynamic viewing capabilities possible with some hardware. The standard function key (bank 1 and 2) and the X3D driver bank 3 functionality are described here.
Microsoft (MS) Windows: Spaceball- or Space Mouse-driven Dynamic Viewing
The OpenGL (OGL) driver supports dynamic viewing via input from a Spaceball or Space Mouse device.
Refer to the ogl_notes file in the %SDRC_INSTL%\README directory for usage details.
Warning: Having both the Magellan/Space Mouse 3D Controller and the Spaceball attached and active on the same workstation at the same time can cause some of the inputs from the Spaceball to be reversed (Zoom, for example). Also, on some platforms the Spaceball model 3003 SoftButton menu input is disabled when the Magellan 3D Controller software is running. EDS recommends having only one of these devices attached and active at a time.
Function Key Bank 1
Bank 1 diagram:
F1 - Pan
The model in a dynamic viewport can be moved around in the plane of the screen as you hold down F1 and move the mouse in the X, Y directions.
F2 - Zoom
The model in the dynamic viewport increases in size as you hold down F2 and move the mouse toward you (-Y screen direction) and decreases in size as you move the mouse away from you (+Y screen direction).
F3 - XYZ Rotate
F3 and the mouse can be used to do X Y or Z rotation. If the cursor is within 80% of the viewport center, the mouse controls X and Y rotation. Moving the mouse left and right rotates about the screen Y axis. Moving the mouse up and down rotates about the screen X axis.
If F3 is pressed with the cursor outside the 80% circle, rotations are performed about the screen Z axis as you move the mouse in a circular motion.
F4 - View Snap
View Snap automatically orients the view to the closest "standard" view (orthogonal or isometric) relative to the current workplane.
Note: Pressing Shift with F3 will give you the triad-only rotate function that used to be available under the F4 key.
F5 - View Reset
View Reset restores the view to the position when the last display was generated or redisplayed. To use View Reset, press F5. No mouse action is required for this function.
F6 - Switch Banks/Toggle
When pressed, F6 displays the current functions available to the function keys. It also allows the function key "bank" to be changed. To change banks, move the mouse up and down while F6 is pressed. When the desired bank is reached, let go of F6 and the selected set of functionality becomes active for keys F1 through F4.
Function Key Bank 2
Bank 2 diagram:
F1 - Rotate About X Only
This function is similar to F3 - XYZ Rotation above, except it restricts rotation to the screen X axis (horizontal). No Y or Z rotation is possible.
F2 - Rotate About Y Only
This function is similar to F3 - XYZ Rotation above, except it restricts rotation to the screen Y axis (vertical). No X or Z rotation is possible.
F3 - Z Clip
Thickness clipping is known as Z clipping because two planes parallel to the screen are used to clip everything except what's between this screen Z depth. The two planes are dynamically positioned with the mouse and function key F3. While holding F3, moving the mouse up on the screen moves both planes closer together. Moving the mouse to the right moves both planes away.
F4 - Depth Cueing
This function is used to control the depth cueing intensity when depth cueing is enabled. (This function is not available with the X3D display device driver.)
Function Key Bank 3
Bank 3 diagram:
This bank of function keys deals with dynamic clipping.
To use the function keys in this bank:
Use a shaded hardware display.
Turn on clipping using F4 and move the mouse up on the screen. (You can also turn on the Dynamic Clip icon (2nd column, 12th row) to enable dynamic clipping.)
You use F1, F2, and F3 to move a clipping triad around the model.
Shortcut Function Keys
Function keys 7 through 12 provide shortcuts for existing, frequently used actions. These keys are preset in the I-DEAS software but may be redefined for user preferences. See the I-DEAS administrator for customization of these function keys. The preset key functions are described below.
F7 - Zoom All
Scales the display to show the entire model or zooms in to enlarge selected geometry. Pick the geometry, then press this key to zoom in.
F8 - Reconsider
The software will pick another entity based on the surrounding, or coincident, entities. Multiple pressing of this key picks the surrounding entities one at a time.
F9 - Deselect All
Unselects everything that has been selected.
F10 - Inactive Key
This key is not available for use. It is not preset in I-DEAS. It can be customized by the user on some platforms.
F11 - Filter
Enables you to control what is pickable. This key displays the Selection Filter form. Use this form to determine pickable and nonpickable items.
F12 - Redisplay
Redraws everything in the graphics window and updates the text in the header.作者: ceiling 时间: 2005-8-3 08:15
