Female Engineering Manager Assistant

Company description; Established in 1997, s.point design has more than 10 years of rich experience in the Chinese market. From a deep understanding of design and its value in China, to the fascinating Chinese people and rich cultural insights, s.point design continues to push design in China forward and is recognized as the leading industrial design consultancy throughout China by clients and design professionals, both international and domestic. In total we are 5 engineers, approx 20 designers and some research and admin staff. The candidate will function under our engineering team.
Team description; Our engineering team has a long history in realizing design and finalizing products for market. Through our experience and resources in mechanical design and manufacturing, we help clients implement challenging mechanical structures, minimize investments, achieve cost innovations, and rigorously managing the design quality throughout the whole process. Being a service company we only do small scale series but have a very big variety of products.

Minimum Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• You are female.
• Minimum three years experience working in manufacturing or in a product design studio.

• Minimum one year of experience within project management and/or planning.
• General knowledge in 3D & 2D software (Pro-Engineer & Auto CAD). Just over viewing not designing.

• Ability to organize technical documentation, draft meeting minutes, support monthly progress reporting, and provide project status through scheduling.
• Good knowledge in Microsoft office; as Word, Excel and Power Point. Knowledge in Project and Visio is beneficiary.
• Ability to set up project cost calculations and follow up together with our finance team.

• Must be willing and interested to develop into an independent project manager/team leader within one year.

• Good communication skills with international clients and local suppliers. Interpreting client’s specifications and monitoring/follow up on our suppliers.

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Job Description :

This position can be seen as a trainee function. From the beginning you will act as our current Engineering Operations Managers assistant. But as time goes (within one year) the candidate will take on more and more responsibility and finally function as a manager position.

The daily job will be organizing and follow up on project status. Communication, creating documents/presentations.

When new projects come in you are the key person to structure incoming briefing from client and make sure the engineers/designers understand the spec right.
