在包装设计中使用EPE或EPS各应注意些什么?

有一标准19英寸插箱,材料为1。2毫米的冷轧钢板,设备重量约18千克。现我使用EPS作为包装材料,但在高度为800毫米的跌落试验中未能通过。由于设备结构和包装纸箱已定,不知有无哪位高手能指点一二,从改变现有的结构入手,使其结构改进完善一下。

    EPS俗称保丽珑,用模具“煮”出来的,太硬,韧性不够,实验中,外界应力容易传到产品本身
    EPE,目前厂家将一块块片材粘在一起,贵,韧性非常好,材料本身具有极强的吸水性,所以保存材料要求极高,和EPU一样,目前很少厂家用模具来打

My Experience :  
  
***1) PS Form touching area with product . Must touch strong place for   exp the ribs, so that the force can be absorb.
Try to modify the foam by cut and add material .  
  
2) Too much touching area means more force, try to reduce .  
  
3) PS foam density . Higher density can absorb more force.
  
4) PS foam condition. Not enough process will be too hard .

hi.ccf.thanks for your advice.it's very helpful to solve th pb..but pls.give me more information about the 3rd,how can i limite the density.very greatful if you can recommend some reference to me.

   Well,buddys,basically, you just need to tell your supplier how big is the density of the material (EPS), I can hardly remember the exact number, but I know we have two options, consult your suppliers.
   As to EPS, it's no good for big machine, for instance, PDP, 40-inch LCD,
we opt for EPE, even the package of DELL computer, they use EPE to pack machines sold in U.S. because long trip from Amoy to overseas

For example my product . We normally use PS foam with Density (Specific gravity) 2.0kg/m3 - 2.2Kg/m3. Since your product is smaller or not so emphasized on quality . It might be lower .
  
1) Many case when problem happen. We check the density . Supplier tend to cheat us using lower grade material.
Also the PS foam can absorb moisture easily , if drying time in oven is not enough. The weight also appear higher then it suppose to be.
  
2) But to increase the density so much just to countermeasure a drop test might not good as cost increase. I also not sure how much you should increase. It is simply base on experience.  
  
3) If lets say your previous model is OK using same density , I think you better concentrate on 1 & 2 .
  
4) I cant comment much unless I see you product and testing standard. I normally deal with MIS ( Matsu *** a Industrial Standard) . Drop for 1 corner, 3 edges , and all 5 Surfaces.
