JOB OBJECTIVE
Perform finite element analysis (FEA) using ANSYS to support product design and improvement in cost, performance, sound and vibration, reliability and durability. Analysis work will extend across all product lines, including chillers, air handlers, fan coils, fans, compressors, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY
[$#8226] Conduct stress, modal, harmonic, thermal, and thermal-stress analyses using ANSYS.
[$#8226] Build ANSYS meshes (including using CAD models PRO Engineer, AutoDesk Inventor Series
[$#8226] Coordinate work with the Center of Excellence in Computational Technology in La Crosse, Wisconsin, U.S.A.
[$#8226] Evaluate and install new releases of ANSYS and other software.
[$#8226] Perform FEA post processing to extract key findings for design improvement.
[$#8226] Write engineering analysis reports.
[$#8226] Support the FEA needs of Product develOPMent teams
Other Responsibilities:
[$#8226] Work in a team and Matrix organization meeting key deliverables based on project plans
Key competencies:
[$#8226] ANSYS and supporting CAD/CAE tools such as PRO Engineer, AutoDesk Inventor Series
[$#8226] Multiple Mechanical Engineering Disciplines - structural mechanics, structural dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, finite element analysis, and numerical methods
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education Background
[$#61485] Master’s degree in mechanical, aeronautical, or civil engineering, engineering mechanics, or related discipline
Experience Needed
[$#61485] At least 2 years experience in ANSYS
