SURFCAM's Advanced Machining Logic is a series of add-on software products which can be purchased separately to meet your industry's specific needs.
  
Step Reduction Milling (SRM)
SRM, featuring new technology, is available as an optional module with the release of SURFCAM 2002.  This patent-pending technology represents a major breakthrough in the rough milling of complex multiple surfaces. SRM automatically synchronizes the depths-of-cut for each of the tools used in the process such that each tool is running at its optimum material-removal parameters, all material is removed with the largest possible tool, and no tool is over taxed. The reductions in programming time, processing time, and machine cycle times combines to make this a significant improvement over current methods common with other software. Pattern Slicing
For the pattern-making industry, SURFCAM offers an optional Pattern Slicing toolkit that automatically compartmentalizes 3D geometry into 2D pattern slices, quickly and easily. Save toolpath processing time by optimizing pattern slices for most efficient toolpath generation.  SURFCAM's Pattern Slicing software will be made available with the SURFCAM 2002 release.
  
Hole Processing
SURFCAM’s Hole Processing automates drilling processes by allowing the creation of templates. Setup a “template” once for a particular process. Create and recall any number of custom templates as needed, and simply insert the necessary parameters when you program a particular operation. SURFCAM's Hole Processing software will be made available with the SURFCAM 2002 release.
