I am doing blow-mold design now, the layflat surfgaces are offfset surfaces,
My question is
1. how to offset over 10 surfaces with different normals in one shot and is still sewable
2. is there any way we can quilt all surface into one piece, I tried quilt many times, but either say"can not project on surface" or "the new 1-piece surface must be smaller than original
In Ugnx 4.0, you can select all the surfaces in one time.
In Ugnx 3.0, there are some ways to do this.
Method 1: Sew all the single surfaces, and then try to use “thicken sheet” or “sheets to solid assistant” to create a solid from the sewed surface. After that, you can extract all the surfaces you want.
Method 2: use “quilt” to make all the surfaces to a single surface, but be careful with the tolerance. As for the “quilt” command, maybe you can get some ideas from the following topics:
