Removing Model File Locks
The model file lock file is removed automatically by I-DEAS when the model file is closed and I-DEAS exits normally.
If I-DEAS exits abnormally, the model file .lck file still exists at the operating system.
When I-DEAS is started again, the model file can be opened only by the same user who originally opened the model file on the same workstation. I-DEAS recognizes the user as the owner of the model file.
If the model file can't be opened, the associated .lck file will need to be deleted at the operating system by the model file owner. The model file owner is usually the person who created the model file. Under SFAM 3, however, the model file owner is the I-DEAS administrator.
