平底刀可以清根铣吗？

帮助里不是说前一把刀具和当前的刀具要有相同的平底部分吗？否则会产生多余刀路和过切材料。
The system supports a certain relationship between the previous and current cutters (the same flat portion). If the combination of the cutters is different, the system internally uses a larger previous cutter which may result in redundant motions and/or excessive material removal.
In Cleanup, the flat area of the current tool must be the same as the flat area of the previous tool. Therefore, if the previous tool is a Ball tool, the current tool must also be a Ball tool. If the previous tool is a Bull Nose tool, the current tool must be either a Flat tool (with the same flat area as the previous Bull Nose tool) or a Bull Nose tool also with the same flat area as the previous tool.

是的，看提示，CIMATRON E推荐你用相同的平端直径，但是如果不这样做，刀路计算不准确，但不代表不能用。

不怕redundant motions ，就怕excessive material removal

有时候还非要用平刀呢　　我很喜欢平刀来清角　　就是寿命不是很长　清前一把刀的角时　那把参考刀要比前一把刀略大一点就行了

这个很难说，我还没遇到过，真的，有时候没办法，只好用这个来清根了。

不过平底刀清平底刀的根，用一个ROUGH SPIRAL就可以搞定了，用REMACHINE是不是没有必要呢？E给的提示很有效。

学习了。。我都没有用过平刀来清根的。。。就算清根。。用的也不是清根铣
