Development list:
1,Postprocessor
It’s an independent software from MasterCam, Including 4 milling machines. It’s very easy to use, being able to run in windows xp,windows me,and windows 2000 system. Unlike MasterCam’s accessorial postprocessor, you needn’t to setup the machine axis combination and control system by yourself, all the information is already contained in this software. What’s more, its working mechanism is to translate the Mastercam source NCI files into NC files with certain algorithm outside of MasterCam, you needn’t update it together with MasterCam’s new version from time to time, wasting a lot of money.
2,NC Editor
As there are many old NC programs without being able to find it’s original Mastercam file ,and we also need to add quite a few codes by hands when we prepare a new program. It’s not very easy to modified them when we need to. On these occasions a NC Editor is very helpful for us to modify the comparatively good programs.
For example, sometimes we need to offset the program by 0.02” in +X direction or adjust the feedrate ; sometimes we need to transfer the work pieces from the old Therwood 5-axis machine to the new Therwood 5-axis machine. It’s unnecessary to generate a thoroughly new program again and again.
The Coordinate Offset function is to offset program in X,Y,Z direction, and the Feedrate Override function is to adjust the federate of the program. And C-Axis travel adjustment is to transfer programs between the new Therwood and the old Therwood as their C axis has 180-degree difference.
I’d like to introduce the “Translate 5-Axis NC program to Tool Tip Mode”, as we all know, 5-axis program is not very easy to check, because it describe the pivot point (Cincinati) or pivot-z (Therwood), instead of tool tip point as 3-axis program. With this function, we can translate the 5-axis program back to 3-axis tip mode to check it together with MasterCam, see the picture below.
