Example 2 - 3 along and 1 across
Using a different approach, a Net surface could be constructed from the same curves, using 3 Along chains (dark blue, green and red) and 1 Across chain (gold). In this example, there are no closed chains therefore no seam will exist, however, the surface will have two poles (collapsed edges where the 3 Along chains touch at each end). The red and blue chains must be selected by partial chaining because they meet tangentially. |
