Anyone using MasterCAM V9.1 and using Tool Plane / Construction Plane with the Working Coordinate System and set to a plane other than 'top' should read this warning:
The NCI 100 line for subsequent points in planar drilling operations in V9.1 is reporting incorrect tool plane matrix values, resulting in an incorrect tool plane matrix and incorrect tool vectors in the post. The results will vary depending on the post, but certainly improper angles and/or mapped coordinates could be output. The bug has been logged in the bug database.
Anyone using Mastercam V9.1 WCS for multiaxis machine programming or 2 1/2 axis drilling of more than 1 point per operation should be advised of this issue.
If you are using the WCS, but have question 164 set to n in your post, or are using a post like Mpmaster that turns off rotary moves if all operations are in the top plane, you are not likely to encounter this problem.
This issue will be corrected in V9.1 Service Pack 1 when released.
