Mechanical Engineer, MTS-IV
Primary Responsibilities:
Position requires a senior mechanical design engineer who is experienced in the design and packaging of ruggedized embedded computer systems for military and aerospace applications. The candidate will be responsible for the design, documentation and production support of electro-mechanical components and systems per specific customer requirements. Within Aitech’s small company environment, the senior mechanical engineer’s role is a combination of leadership, mentoring, and hands on performance of the mechanical engineering tasks. 3D solid modeling techniques using Autodesk Inventor? and proficiency using AutoCAD? is required. Knowledge of material properties and finishes applicable to the design of electronic packaging components is a must.

Strong knowledge of ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5M-1994 practices
Working knowledge of the creation and control of Technical Data Packages (TDPs) per DOD-D-1000 and MIL-STD-100
Working knowledge of military, ANSI/ASME and IPC specifications
Direct experience in the design, analysis, and qualification testing of electronic packaging in avionics applications
Direct experience in the specification and control of Printed Wiring Board artwork process and fabrication required
Prepare and present customer presentations, and participate in face to face customer discussions and negotiations regarding complex technologies
Develop technical solutions derived from technology building blocks
Lead special Research & Development project activities or investigations within the Mechanical Engineering discipline.
Working knowledge of Document Control and Configuration Management procedures
Working knowledge of sheet metal and machine shop practices is a plus
Manage technical sub-contracts
Strong communication skills
Independent worker who can operate in a small company environment
Use project scheduling tools to estimate the total cost of a development program
Coordinate activities of engineers within the Engineering Department and/or across Aitech programs and projects
Manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous activities
Successful candidate will have and be proficient with Microsoft Office tools

Recommended Experience:
Minimum10 years experience with military programs

Recommended Education:
BS ME (and/or equivalent experience) with MS desired

Special Requirements:
Position requires an engineer with a diverse background in the mechanical packaging of electronic circuitry for the development of embedded computer systems.

没有可比性，教育背景不同，从国内现实的教育背景下走出来的毕业生，很难直接服务于生产，毕业后大多需要从头学起。服务理念不同，人家的高级工程师可以指导生产，我们的工厂大多急功近利，只要按老板的要求，赶紧弄出来能出货就行了。待遇当然就更不同了。

国外对产品的要求是质量，老板对产品的要求是利润。作为设计师，你要是不能满足老板的要求，你就快回家了

大学里的课程,全世界都应该差不多的,美国人大学毕业后一样要经过实践经验积累,逐步成长
只要扎实干十几年,达到这些要求并非不可能

再看国内同类公司的要求

岗位职责：
1. 负责公司新产品的加固设计；
2. 负责公司加固技术的研究，包括热设计技术、三防技术、抗振动技术、抗冲击技术、电磁兼容技术、可靠性设计技术、维修性设计技术、装备综合保障技术、环境试验技术等；
3. 负责加固技术的指导和培训；
4. 指导抗恶劣环境下的特种计算机结构设计，引入车载、舰载、机载、加固显示器等加固产品设计理念。
资格要求：
1. 电子、机械等相关专业。
2. 有加固计算机设计经验者优先。

这个也不难吧，好像是找一个包材的工程师，况且还要至少10年的工作经验，国内工作两年可能都有这样的经验了，只是美军标大家不太熟悉罢了。
大家不要枉自菲薄，还没见一个外国工程师要求懂外文的呢，而在国内这基本成了一个必不可少的条件。
至于说创新能力，可能国内工程师是有所欠缺，但不要忘了各位所在的企业大多都不是创新型的企业，而对比的又都是国际顶级的创新型企业中最优势的工程师。但这种情况是在不断改变的，以后源自中国的创新肯定会越来越多的。

运营成本，工作方式，技能要求不一样，勿要盲目比较。

不要太神化老外。
我们之前的美国总部那边，多的是的干了十几年的老美工程师，他们也是良莠不齐。
