MPI 4.1 Revision 4 includes fixes/enhancements to the

User interface related fixes
* When attempting to delete a study from the Project View,
the active study (i.e. the study that is opened and
active) is deleted, instead of the study selected to be
deleted. This problem is now fixed.

User interface related fixes
* When you switch from one to study window to another, the
active study in the Project View pane changes
accordingly.
* Problem with displaying identical 1D elements is now
fixed.
* Duplicated parts can loose information required for a
warp analysis. This problem is now fixed.
* Creating a new plot with particular inputs may not work.
This problem is now fixed.
* Problem with querying results in cylindrical coordinate
system is now fixed.
* Problem with updating 3D results with a clipping plane.
This problem is now fixed.
* Cutting plane does not work with the Zone result. This
problem is now fixed.
* XY plot origin changes when using default options. This
problem is now fixed.
* The 'Flow rate, beams' MPI/3D Flow result does not show
a legend. This problem is now fixed.
* VTK error received when displaying the stress tensor from
microchip analysis. This problem is now fixed.

Meshing related fixes
* Mesh Diagnostics displays the correct calculates correct
shape factor and thickness for cross-sectional shapes.
* Fixed problem with reflecting a tetrahedral mesh.

Various solver related fixes
* MPI/Fiber analysis speed has improved by 10% to 20% for
midplane/fusion meshes.
* MPI/3D Flow analysis speed has improved by 10% to 40%.
* Automatic injection time gives unrealistic long fill time
in some cases. This problem is now fixed.
* Fixed problem with Fusion fill analysis taking too long.
* Problem with Flow analysis hanging after switchover is
now fixed.
* Problem with Molding Window returning wrong results is
now fixed.
* Removed the fiber orientation convergence tolerance
input that caused error 99250. This input is now
obsolete.
* Fixed a problem with shortshot at gate in MPI/3D Flow.
* MPI/3D Flow analysis with networked runner system returns
error 220128. This problem is now fixed.
* MPI/3D Flow analysis returns error 220038. This problem
is now fixed.
* Fixed problem with flow rate on beam elements with
occurrence number in MPI/3D Flow.
* Fixed problem with assigning flux boundary condition on
part inserts. Previously, this caused analysis to fail.
* Fixed a problem with MPI/3D Flow analysis when specifying
a boundary temperature on a part insert. Previously, the
analysis returned a message about an unrealistic minimum
mold temperature.
* MPI/3D Flow now displays a message with the correct CPU
time used on Windows platforms. Previously, the message
displayed the actual elapsed analysis time.
* A grill part with hole, offset and a shortshot causes
Warp to crash. This problem is now fixed.

* Fillcalc materials are missing Material IDs. This problem
is now fixed.

* The calc vbs file (API) is now installed with the

Meshing related fixes
* Issue resolved where modeling a runner system (or any
curve) after the part had already been meshed, and then
meshing the new curve entities caused the part to be
remeshed, even if the "Remesh already meshed parts of
the model" option on the Generate Mesh dialog was off.

User Interface related fixes
* When legacy Moldflow materials (*.asc) are imported on
UNIX platforms, supplemental data might not show up in
red color in the user interface. This issue is now
resolved.
* Miscellaneous issues in result visualization are now
fixed.

Modeling related fixes
* Speed improvements have been made in various modeling
functions, such as creating regions from a boundary.
* Copying beam elements left behind unnecessary holes in
element numbers, which might cause analysis problems.
This issue is now resolved.
* Problems with importing some node definitions with spaces
from Nastran models is now resolved.
* The Bounding Box is now calculated much faster.

Meshing related fixes
* When 3D BDF mesh files are imported and remeshed,
global edge length was not calculated correctly. This
issue is now resolved.
* Meshing now handles overmolded components correctly.

Various solver related fixes
* MPI/Fiber analysis speed has improved by 15% to 40%.
* MPI/Flow analysis speed has improved by 5% for unfilled
materials, and 20% to 45% for filled materials.
* MPI/Flow now outputs a result summary of the packing
phase and sink mark depth results, in case of short
shots.
* MPI/3D Flow analysis calculated results incorrectly if
'Machine pressure limit' was specified as 'Maximum
machine injection pressure' and 'Pack/holding control'
was specified as 'Hydraulic pressure vs time'. This
issue is now resolved.
* MPI/3D Flow analysis on IBM and HP Itanium platforms
had rounding off differences in Tensile modulus and
 oisson's ratio results. This issue is now resolved.
* MPI/3D Flow analysis now treats flow front activated
valve gates correctly.
* MPI/MuCell analysis now outputs the 'Linear thermal
expansion coefficient' result correctly.
* MPI/Thermoset Flow on midplane/fusion models now allows
for setting different tool and runner temperatures.
* MPI/Cool analysis would not run an injection compression
analysis. This issue is now resolved.
* MPI/Cool analysis would stop with an error if the model
contained overflow wells. This issue is now resolved.
* MPI/Cool analysis using mesh aggregation would not
converge for some models. This issue is now resolved.
* MPI/Cool analysis would not output the "Time to Freeze,
part" result on unfilled edges. This issue is now
resolved.
* MPI/Stress 3D analysis would not converge on some models
for Microchip Encapsulation process with paddle shift.
This issue is now resolved.
* MPI/3D Warp analysis convergence has been improved.

Miscellaneous fixes
* The Application Programming Interface (API) now provides
access to various mesh diagnostics. Locale is now being
set to "en-us" for all scripts being recorded so that
commas are treated correctly in command line arguments
(for example, they would be treated in German locales).
Also, it is now possible to set the unit system and set
units for XY plots.
* When recovering models from auto-saved files, titles of
models may not be correct. This issue is now resolved.
* License troubleshooting wizard now works correctly on
all Windows platforms.
