The colder melt near middle in the primary runner flow along the left side in the secondary runner A. The melt temperature in the right hand side closer to the primary runner is higher. The melt in the right hand side with lower viscosity and lower flow resistance compared with the left hand side. The flow imbalance between cavities was disappeared after the melt passes through the second divergence The part cavity mesh is made entirely of Hexa mesh. A structured mesh for the part cavity is used because it can produce more uniform analysis result whilst allowing for easy control over mesh resolution and element number. The mesh consists of 15 layers in the thickness direction to provide enough resolution in the thickness direction. With a straight runner, the hottest melt is at the outer ring of the runner when it enters the cavity. Thus creating a possible welding line at the middle of the cavity.
