If AutoCAD, including the Inventor, really works so well like your shown, why many other 3-D softwares such as Unigraphics, Pro/Engineer, Solidworks, etc are occupying the design markets so violently in world, especially the 3-D design fields, such as in AEROPLANE manufacturing, VEHICLE making, SHOES making, PLASTIC and MECHANICAL products manufacturing, so on and so on? Yes, they must have more easy using, more facilities, more effectivities, more advantages comparing with Autodesk series. That's the all-known truth! And my point is that AutoCAD is just a general product which can draw some daily-use products, it has no abilities to analyse the qualities of your design(SURFACES ANALYSE, CURVES ANALYSE, QUALITY DETERMINED), to simulate the motion EXACTLY in the condition of KINEMATIC, DYNAMIC, STATIC, FORCE BALANCE etc, even it has enhnced its 3-D operation!
PTC and EDS and other 3-D softwares have got widely OPERATE SYSTEM supports, such as UNIX, LINUX, SUN workstation etc, which are the basic CAD WORKSTATIONS which are used for good-sized design in AERO-FIELDS, MILITARY FIELDS, etc. WINDOWS (WINTEL) system is just a little part of the OSes, which is the ONLY position AutoCAD works in. So, there is one question: EVER heard of using CAD to design the entire(net)-machine involved the WHOLE ANALYSES mentioned above? No, you cann't do that. BUT Pro/E, UG can....That's the reason of those 3-D softwares were designed!
AND never stretch your tips out when you CANNOT know the real world!
